Does anyone have suggestions on buying kitchen accessories without going online? I have recently started cooking and baking again and am in dire need of some new utensils, gadgets, etc. Since I buy these "as needed", I would prefer to shop at a store and see what I want without going online and paying ridiculous shipping charges. My current finds have been Bed, Bath and Beyond, Cost Plus, and Pier One. Have also tried the Target and Cosco type stores. Usually don't have what I want. Any new ideas or secret finds?

(I found some offered on Amazon, but not by the manufacturer, only a middle-man mail-order house. The local grill boutiques don't deal with the kitchen construction items.) Kitchen Accessories in GREEN COLOUR. ? I am redoing my whole house (windows, heating, plastering, rewiring basically everything) and so when it comes down to things like accessories I need to find CHEAP things! I really want light green (not quite lime) dishes and accessories for my kitchen. Does anyone know where I can find them? I can only find places that sell one mug for £8 or something like that!! I want a 6-8 piece dinner set so that kind of pricing is ridiculous for me. I also like the idea of black/red for my kitchen and I can find really cheap accessories but dislike that its very common now. Do u think I should just go for the cheaper option? Kitchen cabinets in good shape outside. Where can I get new drawer glides, shelving accessories...? I'd like to make better use of the space inside the cabinets and fix the drawers that drop when opened, don't glide out smoothly or don't close. Cabinets are original-35+ yrs. old, oak, look great on outside.
Food Processor Accessories: Can I use Cuisinart accessories on my 7 cup kitchen aid processor? For Xmas I got a 7 cup food processor by kitchen aid. I have used it several times and I love it! I was searching on kitchenaids website to buy some diffrent attachment blades only to find out, they dont offer any accessories for 7 cup food processors, only 9 and 12 cups. How ever, cuisinart has a 7 cup food processor and they sell attachment blades for theirs.... I was wondering if it is possible to use the cuisinart 7 cup processor blades on my kitchen aid 7 cup processor? Has anyone done this?? Or are their any other disks from diffrent brands that will work on my kitchen aid processor? Thanks

Best place to source a new kitchen ......? I'm in the UK and want to source a new kitchen and have it fitted by my own fitter. I have been to MFI, B&Q, Homebase but I find it all so confusing. I don't want to spend the earth on one and the ranges, prices and discounts all seem to bury me in confusion. And I don't want one that will look tatty in a few years ..... What is the best Portable GRILL that can be used in the kitchen? I live in an apartment complex where there is no place to do the traditional/outdoor grilling! I have only used the outdoor type and and for the amount of smoke they produce, they can't be used inside the house. Can you suggest a paint colour to go with a new kitchen that has walnut units and black shiny worktops? As I said the units are walnut with long silver handles. The appliances are silver. The worktops are black marble. All the accessories are silver/black, so I feel the walls need a colour to compliment the kitchen. I'm not keen on anything too dramatic because it's not very big. What color furniture for brown sofa and blue accent color (a silver accessories)? I recently purchased my first home. I bought a brown sofa and the accent color is a nice blue. There are also some silver accents throughout the area. The home has an open floor plan, so the kitchen sits off the dining area. The kitchen has light wood cabinets. I need a dining table and an entertainment center (flat screen tv stand w/ two towers). I saw a a black dining set and tv stand which I love, but wasn't sure if they would work with my color scheme. Help makeover my kitchen!! Renting home so limited on what I can do. kitchen is retangular shape.? walls are painted butter cream yellow with white trim. the cabinets are L shaped, window over sink. double window on same wall but at opposite end. at one end of room is door to carport other end of room opens to hall and opposite side of sink (long wall) is an opening to living room.. cabinets are white. floor is neutral. I would like to really add some spunk to this kitchen. with color and design. as well as accesories. this is the room all the company enter into. and is the most used room in the house. A few questions about painting my kitchen? I am on my way to go buy the supplies to paint my kitchen. The walls currently have Kilz oil based primer on them (over several layers of unidentified white paint). The walls are textured and don't need any repairs. My questions are: 1) What kind of paint is best on textured walls? I was thinking about using matte. Is this ok? Oil or latex? Fumes aren't an issue. 2) What color should I use? My cabinets are white, my counters are a pale greyish blue, and my floors are a dark reddish brown wood laminate. All the trim, accessories, and curtains are white. I can't decide between light yellow and a blue that is a few shades darker than my counters (kind of a stormy ocean blue-grey). I like the blue a lot but I'm afraid it may make it look gloomy (and also require more coats than the yellow). 3) What supplies do I need to buy? How much paint will it take to cover a room that is approx 13x18 with 8ft ceilings? Sorry for the long question. Thanks in advance for your help

I need help on a kitchen idea?!? I am looking for a "theme" of sorts, without doing the same ole thing you see in everyone's kitchen. My dishes and accessories are these colors: hunter green, olive green, black, brown, and tan. Any neutrals would be perfect, but I'm not sure of what to get. I was reading in an earlier post and liked the pottery idea. I have lots of cabinet top and wall space for decor and currently there is just ivy there. I need other ideas to brainstorm and still keep my colors as the dishes, etc are fairly new. thanks! I understand the importance of a theme not changing but the dishes will. In the eat in, I'm changing the pendant to another (it's awful gold and frosted dome now). I'm also adding knobs to the cabinets. Question: I like the dark bronze lights. Should the lights match the appliances in a nickel or something? Should the knobs also match the appliances? I'm thinking the dark color lends to the floor, cabinet and wall color, but I'm not sure if they will have to match the appliances? FYI: the kitchen accessories are red.

Kitchen help and ideas....PLEASE!!!? Okay, so I thought I was creating a country french provencal kitchen...pale yellow walls, white ceilings, white cabinets. The accessories would be stone blue, and the window coverings, yellow and blue floral. The appliances are all stainless steel... NOW, I've introduced terra cotta to the floors and the backsplash, with a touch of blue in the odd tile in the backsplash. It feels more mediterranean now...and I still want to get the country feel. Please help....I'm getting a little discouraged...straying from my original plan, and needing to bring the country warmth back. The ordering has all been done...so now it will have to be warmed up with accessories...Any suggestions?
