Kitchen Accessories in GREEN COLOUR. ? I am redoing my whole house (windows, heating, plastering, rewiring basically everything) and so when it comes down to things like accessories I need to find CHEAP things! I really want light green (not quite lime) dishes and accessories for my kitchen. Does anyone know where I can find them? I can only find places that sell one mug for £8 or something like that!! I want a 6-8 piece dinner set so that kind of pricing is ridiculous for me. I also like the idea of black/red for my kitchen and I can find really cheap accessories but dislike that its very common now. Do u think I should just go for the cheaper option? Also my living room is going to be aubergine, so I think the green will go better with that, Thank youso much for your answers so far but my mistake - I forgot to add I live in England! I need sites that ship here but wont require me to sell a kidney for the shipping charge :P I did find exactly what I was looking for on those though!!
would a black and red colour scheme look good in my kitchen? i've just ordered my new kitchen and the work surfaces are black and the doors are walnut and i was thinking about red accessories, also about getting black tiles with a few red ones here and there, my husband thinks it sounds horrible but i'm really set on the idea has any one you know got this colour scheme or have you yourself and do you think it looks good i'm not afraid to be bold in my kitchen i just want a few opinions and if not red and black what other colours scheme would look good in a kitchen. its proberbly about 50/50 on who spends the most time in the kitchen, but he's never been bothered about what the house is decorated like normally.
Dark Red Kitchen ??? hiya i am wanting to paint my kitchen a dark red - a warm red not a bright red !! but not sure which kind of red would suit my floor is cream vinyl, my cupboards are a light cream colour, with a black work surface and all my accessories are silver?? do you think a dark red would go and have you seen any nice 1's anywhere i could look at on a website ?? i live in the uk so any websites or stores i could look at ? any help would be great thanxs xx dont no if this is the right colour to be choosing ?? do you have any other suggestions of colours ?? thanxs well the cupboards are a light cream colour and the floor is a darker cream ??
Should kitchen cabinet knobs and lighting match appliances? I am sprucing up my kitchen. The cabinets are an oak color. The walls are a khaki/tan color (Sherwin Williams Latte) http://www.myperfectcolor.com/PhotoDetai... I'm adding new ceramic floors (probably like Roman gold or American Olean Hazelnut - still debating that). My fridge is stainless steel. I'll be adding a stainless steel stove and eventually as money permits a matching microhood and dishwasher. I need new lighting and am going with track lighting to spread the light around. In the eat in, I'm changing the pendant to another (it's awful gold and frosted dome now). I'm also adding knobs to the cabinets. Question: I like the dark bronze lights. Should the lights match the appliances in a nickel or something? Should the knobs also match the appliances? I'm thinking the dark color lends to the floor, cabinet and wall color, but I'm not sure if they will have to match the appliances? FYI: the kitchen accessories are red.
Which color Faux wood blinds to choose for kitchen+Family room ? Hi, I Have a large kitchen +family roomand the kitchen has cherry cabinets. The kitchen has stainless steel+black appliances There is also a huge window in the family room. My question is 1)Should the color of blinds for the kitchen window and family room window be same since they all are in the same continuous space? 2)Would white or cherry look better in the kitchen? If cherry is fine, then does it need to match exactly with the cabinet cherry stain? The walls are painted Benjamin Moore Bone Ivory color. 2)In the family room, would cherry color faux wood blinds look better or white ?The walls are painted a neutral color(Benjamin moore Bone White).I plan to have mostly black leather furniture in the family room and the accessories would be red+orange and yellow.Would white look too contrasting for this space? Thanks for your replies in advance!

Kitchen wall color.... what will match flooring, backsplash, cabinets? I'm going for a cheap, quick-fix solution to boring off-white walls. So I figured it would be easier and cheapest to go with some kind of country theme. I don't have the money for granite countertops, real tile floors, new cabinets, etc. My cabinets are solid oak, and the counters are white. I'm replacing the flooring with this vinyl: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=171376-84875-171376&lpage=none I don't have any kind of back splash, and I don't have the time or money to tile, so I purchased a faux rock-wall, wallpaper to go under the cabinets, above the counter, AND, above the stove and under another set of cabinets: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180160910989&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=008 The curtains will be autumn reds, golden-yellows, and greens. And I'd like to add some rooster wall decor and other tuscan accessories. I'm lost on the wall color. I still want the room to be warm, but nothing like a bright red or gold.
What color should I paint my walls? I'm having trouble on picking colors that will flow from room to room. I live in an apartment and would like to paint the walls. When you enter the foyer you can see the living room, kitchen and dining room. I would say my style is contemporary. I want the apartment to look chic and glam but classy and sophisticated at the same time. In the living room I have blue furniture (royal blue) with black and white accessories. For the kitchen I was thinking a bright green. I really like the "Kelly Green" I found on the HGTV website. Maybe, even an acid-green and bring in white and black accessories to tie it in with the living room. The apartment has white appliances, dark counter tops (corian I think?), light colored wood cabinets, and a medium color wood floor. Or, I would like to paint the kitchen red (I'm really open to anything). In the dining room I have a huge sunburst mirror with gold trim and I would like to design around that. I like gold and bronze colored walls but in the living room I have silver and black lamps and silver on the coffee table and side tables. I also don't know what to paint the living room walls. I was leaning towards a light gray but I don't think it will look good if I do green in the kitchen... HELP!
Color Suggestions for Painting rooms...? Our landlords have decided that they'll paint each room in our house BEFORE we move in. Trouble is I don't know what to paint each room! The living room is staying the same, it's a medium tanish color. But the other rooms in the house are going to get a fresh coat of paint..once I can decide on colors. We don't have much furniture or accessories even. So what are somewhat safe colors to paint rooms? Or should I just pick what I like and work around that? ...I do know that our bedroom will be a carmel color to go with our bedspread. Basically I have no idea what colors to paint the Kitchen (small), Bathroom (small), and two other bedrooms. Should I stick with soft greens and blues? In the kitchen - is peach too risky? Or mustard yellow? I was thinking of painting the kitchen a brown red but then thought it might be too overwhelming to the room - I'm not sure. Any advice would be great!

Color for library? Looking for ideas ... my husband and I bought a new house so everything is white. We have red oak wood floors throughout our main floor, which is very open - a two-story foyer and great room, then we have a formal dining room, kitchen, and a library. From every room you can pretty much see all the other rooms. The dining room is already painted a light grayish blue. The kitchen is (most likely) going to be painted a "grass" green color. The living room will be a light beige/brown color as well as the foyer. But what to paint the library?? The room doesn't get much light, and my husband really wanted red which I shut down because I felt it didn't go with the rest of the colors of the houes and would close in the room too much. I thought about a blue-purple or violet color, but I'm not a fan of that either. I want something that is easy to change accessories. I almost thought a dark chocolate brown would look nice if we put book shelves to match and light the room well. Bookshelves to match the floors, I mean. Then if husband wanted red maybe a red rug would work.
Anyone want to rate my story (if you have time on your hands?) Please? Not too long...? Do you think my story so far took off too early? This is the VERY first part, so did it have action right away? Thanks so much! (By the way, strange things happen later on because she is a witch, but the good kind. Throughout the story, she is pretty much developing as a teen witch. She has to get used to using magic. So anyway, enjoy!) Chapter One [excerpt] not done yet _______________________________ Laurie Kentt walked slowly down her sidewalk on the cool, crisp autumn afternoon, making her way down to 67 Ellway Rose Lane, her home sweet home. She dreamed of her mother's chocolate chip cookies, especially after the day at school, and hours of shopping at mall. The day's events soared through her mind, slowly and carefully, as she had time to remember the day: school had been just as uneventful as ever, with boring lessons and crumpled notes being passed around. After school, Laurie went to the mall with Ashlee Parker, her best friend, and Jenny Kole, her other best friend. They shopped for accessories, or as Jenny called them, "extra trash to bring home." Jenny was obviously not a shopaholic, unlike Ashlee and Laurie. School had just started a week ago, but it felt like a year, so obviously after a year of school you buy things--atleast in their world. When Laurie got to the front steps of her house, she looked up: the bright green color of the house looked freshly painted, even though it was a year old, and the medium sized house was a compliment to the scene of red and gold leaves surrounding the house. "Laurie? Are you home?" asked Laurie's mom, Kathryn Kentt, from the kitchen. "Yeah Mom, I'm home," she yelled back. She dropped her bag on the couch as she entered the living room. Her father was obviously not home, as he was an architect working at his office, making designs for big companies. Laurie walked quickly to the kitchen when the smell of freshly baked cookies came from the oven. Her mother was taking the cookies out of the oven and had set them on a glass tray to cool off by the time Laurie sat down. "Good day, honey?" her mother asked. "Yeah Mom." Laurie replied. "We went to the mall. Ashlee's mom drove us. Then she picked up after an hour." "I know," said her mother, "Debby called me." "Who's Debby?" Laurie asked, while she picked up a cookie. "Ashlee's mom." she answered. "Oh," said Laurie. She bit into the corner of a cookie, and the chocolate chips was melted in the cookie, the way her mother usually made them. After eating a few more cookies (with milk) she went up to her room. Thank god Mrs. Miller didn't give math homework, thought Laurie. It was a Friday afternoon, and Laurie was free from school since two thirty, now being three forty-five. She decided to go online, but realized her Internet connection went out. She groaned. This rarely happened, but when it did (last time being six months ago), it didn't turn on for atleast a few days. "I have nothing to do! Turn on! Stupid connection," she muttered. Then the light on the screen showing the connection turned green. Internet Connected, it now said. "Yes!" she cheered. She went on her blog, E-mailed her friends, and after a few games of online sudoku, she turned the computer off. "Laurie, phone for you!" shouted her mother from downstairs. "Coming!" she yelled back. She ran down the stairs, and took the phone from her mother. She sprinted upstairs before talking. "Hello?" she said. "Hey," said a familiar voice. "Yeah, hey," said another voice. "Hey guys," Laurie said to Ashlee and Jenny. "What's up?" said Jenny. "Nothing. Why'd you call?" said Laurie, turning the radio on. Her favorite song, Here, was playing. "Just to hear your radio." said Ashlee. "Turn it down, will you?" "Sorry, it's Here. " she said. "Well, of course it's there, it's not here, is it? said Jenny. "No, my favorite song, Here." she explained. "Oh," they said. "So," said Jenny, "You know where Aberell Park is, right?" she asked. "The one near Lincoln Avenue?" Laurie asked. "Yeah. There's a concert there tonight. You know Heaven Sent, right? They're playing." said Ashlee, calmly. "No way!" Laurie yelled into the reciever. "Heaven Sent? Why is that band playing in this small town?" "Well, you don't have to come..." started Jenny, sounding let down, but Laurie interrupted. "Are you joking? Of COURSE I'm coming! What time is it?" Laurie asked. "Nine! It'll probably end at midnight...oh, will your mom mind?" asked Ashlee. "No, maybe not...I'll ask. Hold on." Laurie raced downstairs and asked her mom if she could go. "How far is the park?" her mother asked, frowning. "Two blocks," said Laurie, confidently. "Well....Oakville is pretty safe at night...I suppose you can go. Don't stay out too late." she advised. "YES!" she yelled into the phone when she was back upstairs. "Oh, this is gonna be so fun!" said Jenny. "I know!" said Ashlee. "Come over, you two! We so need outfits." oh, and her name is "lorie" but i liked that spelling. "Oh. My. Gosh." were Ashlee's first words when she came. "What?" said Laurie, then realizing Ashlee or Jenny never had seen her closet before. Being the daughter of a famous architect, she was pretty rich. Obviously, she had a lot of clothes. A lot of clothes. "Hey, could we borrow an outfit?" said Jenny, eyeing Laurie's filled-to-burst closet. "Definitely," said Laurie. It was five when they started to choose. By the time they were done, it was eight. This shows just how many outfits Laurie's closet provided. Ashlee wore a white tank top with a denim jacket and dark jeans. Jenny took so long just to choose a simple blue sweater and a dark denim jeans, with a beige sweater. Laurie wore a black dress with a matching black jacket (nights weren't very cold, but the jacket suited her so well, she decided to go with it). They had an hour to do whatever they pleased, and they decided to watch a random movie. The movie had barely started when it was time to go. They all le The movie had barely started when it was time to go. They all left and decided to walk (only after Laurie's mother made sure everyone had a cell phone and their parents knew about the concert) to the park. It was a short walk, and within minutes they reached the park. The concert stage was set up, and there were fans everywhere. Luckily, they gave the tickets to the person standing outside of the gates and they were let in. There were benches everywhere. They raced to the front and sat down. The park was almost crowded; they felt lucky to have seats-front row seats. "Omigosh!" said Ashlee. "I can't believe Heaven Sent is performing!" "Neither can I!" said Laurie. "You know, a couple of days ago, I wished Heaven Sent would come here. And I wished we would be able to go. Just look...here we are!" said Jenny. "Well, how'd you wish for it?" said Laurie. "I just thought, 'I wish Heaven Sent could perform and we could go,' after I heard their song, 'Shower You With Love'-it rocks "I just thought, 'I wish Heaven Sent could perform and we could go,' after I heard their song, 'Shower You With Love'-it rocks!" said Jenny. "I love that song!" said Ashlee. "Me too!" said Laurie

What would be a nice neutral color for green and blue paint? I am picking out the colors for our new housem, and I am color challenged. I have always had bright white walls. Here is the layout of the house... The front door is around the middle of the house. When you walk in, you walk into the family room. To your right is the hallway with the guest bathroom to the left and the second bedroom at the end of the hall. On the other side of the family room is the kitchen/dining room, another hall with the masterbath in the hall and then at the end of the hall the master bedroom. I was wanting to paint at least one wall in the master bedroom a green color, since our theme is going to be jungle/safari. The master bath is going to be rubber duckies since I have all of the accessories. The accessories have green in them too, so I was wondering if another shade of green would look right in the bathroom. For the family room and both hallways, I was looking at a taupe color, or a color called imperial sand which is a lighter taupe but not tan. Forthe kitchen/dining room which is all one large room I was wanting to do apples, so the top hald of walls would be white and the bottom half would be a green, and the green would match the apple border I was going to use to seperate the green/white wall in the middle. For the guest bathroom I was going to do a light blue which is a blue linen color, almost like the bridal shower blue and the second bedroom a more sky blue. Would these color combinations go? The second bedroom is only going to have dog cages and then a computer desk, so it is not going to be an actual bedroom. ANY help woul dbe greatly appreciated. All suggestions welcome. P.S. My family room is a Japanese theme, with oriental everything even our furniture. The mail colors of the decor (wall items) are black, gold and reds. Thanks!! The flooring throughout the home is a light cherry hardwood.
