- No You can have it any way u want House & Garden
- You can do whatever you want. Use borders to separate the rooms. Go to Lwes or the local flooring company. They have lots of Ideas. They have wesites as well.
- You can design anyway you like, but the tile need not be the same, you can have a good qualified tile installer blend tiles from one area to the next while keeping a beautiful appearance.
- i dont think so! have how ever u want it, its ur home!
- It gives it a larger look all done in the same flooring but...not always good if you don't want it to be like a big gymnasium but prefer a cozy home atmosphere. Where you step up, definetely needs not be the same; the kitchen and dining room being one level, still doesn't need to be the same. A really classy way to separate those rooms is tile one then with a line or curve, go right into carpet or wood or whatever but keep it in the same color scheme. The continuous color flow will keep it from being chopped up looking but you'll have the different textures that designate one room being a different room from the other.
- as a rule yes, it all to do with , what your eyes see, it must flow , however , because you have a step maybe a new color would work try THIS OLD HOUSE .COM get ideas, and project tips
- No. Why not put same flooring in kitchen and DR; and same wall color in LR and DR? You will have a flow of colors that makes the house feel comfortable and attractive.
- Not necessarily but it does create the illusion of more space. Timber flooring is a great option as you can throw down rugs in the living area to create a different feel. Thats how my open plan house is done.
