I plan on redecorating my kitchen soon, what do I do first???
Here is the design Im using....... http://dutchboy.com/gallery/interiors/kitchens/color-depth-charge/index.jsp I plan on doing everything exactly as the picture. I already have the stainless steel appliances, and my counter tops match the ones in the pictures. So I want to know, do I paint the cabinets Red first, or should I paint the walls grey first?

- I would paint the cabs first.
- Paint walls first. The walls are the base or foundation for the rest of the kitchen. Then paint the cabinets, and replace floors or whatever else you need to do. God Bless!
- Nice pic..i love the contrast..i personally would paint the walls first...
- I would take off the doors of the cabinets, and start with them... and the cabinet bases. then do the walls after the cabinets are done. the edges are going to be tricky, but the cabinet paint will likely be more durable and if there is a smudge of the gray, you will be able to just wipe that off the glossier finish of the cupboards
- I agree with livingintheword, take cabinet doors off and all hardware, prime, sand anything u need to do them first then paint the cabinets, then the walls, last. Good luck to it's alot of work try to get all your friends to come and help
- When I heard gray walls I didn't think I liked it...until I saw the pic! That is goregous. I would paint the cabinets first. It will be easier to get gray off the red than get the red off of the grey. Does that makes sense? good luck
- Cabinets first then the walls. That way you can touch up if needed.Great look too.I love the colors together....
- which ever you feel like doing first. I would do the walls first.
- Color plays an important role in regulating our moods and a Kitchen is not the place to be in your worst of moods! Keep the colors in lighter and healthier shades of brown, peach, yellow, pink or blue. If you are bold, you could also opt for bright red or green colors but try to limit it to three colors or else you are bound to end up with a gypsy kitchen. Peachier colors lends an ageing look over years which enhances the look of the kitchen. For the brightness good use of lighting is important, Kitchen lighting, therefore, needs to be as inviting as it is functional to create the right ambience. http://www.smartken.com/Home-Improvement-Living/Kitchen-Designs/Ideas-for-Kitchen.html
