Designing my new condo!?
Designing my new condo! I'm getting a new condo in a month and I want to design my condo very modernly. I am looking for any websites of living room, bedroom, office, game rooms, kitchen, and bathroom layouts. Anyone have any photos of things that they have done? Any websites I can take a look at peoples ideas or what they have done? I'm looking for pictures. I'm finding it hard to find anything on the internet.

- Look at the web sites for the modern furniture retailers--they often have their goods in modern settings (such as roche bobois, cantoni,cassina, giorgetti, usona, nusa, calligaris, etc). Also Dwell Magazine and Met Home often have modern layouts as do some of the European (particularly Italy) design magazines. Also the modern kitchen fabricators as well ( Poggenpohl, Snaidero, scavolini, varenna, poliform, bulhaupt, siematic, arclinea)--they often show their kitchens from other rooms in the house. Another good site to see ideas is to look at the webs for "cutting edge, trendy" hotels--their rooms & lobbies.
- what kind of "modern" Many people classify that differently!
- Fix yourself a big cup of coffee and a snack, sit in a comfy chair ... and then go to the HGTV web site. You can spend HOURS there, seeing pics of hundreds of rooms of every kind that they have decorated. Have fun!
- The word you are looking for is Contemporary design styles. If you use that terminology and look up things on the internet you will find TONS of ideas. Also..... start watching HGTV channel on cable television. They can show you many ideas for contemporary design. Basically, contemporary design is clean lines....nothing fussy....functional, comforatable ...but not 'country, cluttered, busy'. A monochromatic color scheme.............or 'one color' ...lends itself well to this style. BUT....you dont have to have just one color. You can have a few different colors ...just dont let it become to overworked or the room may end up looking to busy.
