how do I re-design my kitchen?
my small kitchen is a 1980s disaster area with grease-catching crevices and a lack of storage space

- Go to somewhere like Magnet or Kitchens Direct and get them to design one for you. You don't have to buy their kitchens, just get some design ideas and then see what you can afford to do, you can get cheap units in places like Wickes or MFI. It is amazing what a good design can do for even the smallest kitchen space.
- try the ikea website it has a kitchen design tool
- First of all measure your kitchen from wall to wall and place all the measurements on some graph paper. Include doorways, windows, and trim. Now you have the basic shape of the room. From here I would go to a home improvement store. I know Lowe's has a large pamphlet that has ideas and even little cut outs to move around that show cabinets and appliances in their most common sizes. This has been really helpful for me. All of this would be centered around what you want; easy to clean and better storage.
- You can go to a place like Home Depot, or Lowes, and talk to them about what you want that's a much cheaper way to go, or you can go to an Interior Designer, and they can design the whole thing for you and help you figure everything out. I'm in the design field... If you have photos, and have any ideas of what you want, and about ow much you would like to spend, you can write to me, and I can come up with some ideas for you and send you sketches and the approximate cost.
