Feng Shui suggestions for someone living in a bach apt?

It looks similiar to a hotel room, designed in a 'L' shape, abit smaller with a mini kitchen/ living rm. bathroom is hidden in the hallway for more privacy, bedding area is in the opposite direction of the kitchen area. At first, I thought Feng Shui was a plant...After some browsing online, I was starting to understand it abit better & re-arranged my place. I am wondering if I'm missing something, I know that book shelves should be away from the bedding area, Front entrance and windows should be open and not cluttered. What stopped me in my tracks, computers should not be facing the window, I have it near because of the heat and need air flow near the open windows..Although I have to dust my computer n' desk, which ain't difficult to do.. Suggestions please!!! Thx (GRINS) hmm interesting cs313..One part I forgot to mention, I used to be able to sleep with small shelves above me, 4 yrs ago I couldn't sleep that way anymore, ended up sleeping the opposite way..Any ideas?? By the way, bedding is tucked out of view from the hallway to the door.

  1. door cant face bed, bed cant face window or ur chi will be absorbed. add on- this is all common sense kinda. anything with openings like shelves means that poison daggers will stab u. though these things sound weird, it really changes ur energy of how u are everyday. some people are always liveley and happy while others are always tired. its only bad when the door is facing directly in front of ur bed because that shows that ur lying in a coffin and anything related to death is bad. try removing the shelves above the bed. anything hanging above u is not safe. also never sleep with ur hands on ur stomach or chest, or face. it blocks ur chi. if ur wondering what chi is, its ur life force. the chi is in any form of gas like oxygen, steam, and any gas floating. it is important to direct ur chi the correct way. this is done in chi/qigong. how u breath is essential to ur life because the better u breath the more energy and happiness u have. u will be less stressful. these r taught in yoga and tai chi. chi is not magical, its real. its treated magically because its so important to ur life.
  2. fengshui does not work like that. though if you have a blueprint or a houseplan, i might be able to give you a simple fengshui dos and don'ts. but more powerful fengshui concepts depend on measurements, meaning a fengshui auditor must come to your house and make an audit. he/ she will take some measurements regarding location of house and what are inside the house. using these, the auditor will know how to approach to make your house have a better fengshui. when you just use a blueprint, you cannot know the location of the house. location is important in fengshui. because without location, how would you know which areas outside your house that is bad or good to you. bad areas are avoided while good areas are "brought into" your house - so to make these to your advantage. next, what is inside the house is also important. it is difficult to adjust a house according to fengshui. but it is easier to build a house based on fengshui. that is why an auditor is important, because he/ she can recommend a cheaper/ better solution. but based on what you mentioned: designed in a 'L' shape> this is not a good shape, because an L shaped is like a boot (of the ground, similar to death - not successful), or a knife in chinese character abit smaller> fengshui in general is based on chi, it uses the power of the elements (fire, metal, wood, water and earth). it does not use the power of the mind - meaning we do not have to believe in it for it to work. it is not a philosophy, it is not a religion, and it is not magic. it works by the interaction of these 5 elements; it is difficult to explain, esp if you ahve read books about fengshui. bec most books about fengshui is not about the real fengshui, which is deviced by the chinese thousands of years ago. that is why they are simple and do not work. going back, an element's energy is chi. and space holds this chi, the more chi the space holds, the luckier you become, the less space you have, the unluckier you become - the rich become richer, and the poor gets poorer, which is happening right now. book shelves should be away from the bedding area > this is not important at all, i also have read about this, but after i took some fengshui courses under 2 chinese masters, having this arrangement do not affect you in any way - i mean your life will not go bottom zero because of this. Front entrance and windows should be open and not cluttered > i do not know what this is really about. have you gone to a typical chinese house? most chinese houses are cluttered to start with, because most chinese wives love to shop to death and they don't know where to put them when they go home. yet these people are rich, and their houses are cluttered. thus, i do not believe that cluttering your house can make you poor. simple fengshui but real fengshui is like 2 or more doors cannot be in a direct path, because this means death; stairs going directly go in to a door is the same thing; in fengshui, a mirror is like a door, thus, when you open a door like your toilet, you should not see a mirror in front of you, you can put it at the side, so when you enter a toilet, the mirror is either at your left or right side. this said, the front door and the back door cannot be in a straight line - bec this means that everything that come into your life will go out the other way, this includes weath, friends, health/ life. computers should not be facing the window> why not? this is bogus! i put my pc facing the window, and my life is good. what you cannot put facing the window is your bed, meaning when you lie down, your feet or your head cannot face the window, but the side of your body can face the window, provided that you do not roll out of your window when you sleep. then that is bad.
