Normal Bedroom Size?
I'm designing a house and need to know how big your bedroom is- well or atleast the normal bed room size, i live in a small house so... the house is 48x28 i'll prob-ly put 3 brs atleast and 1 and 1-1/2 bath umm living kitchen dining attached garage How big would I make the brms I have heard the perfect size 4 a living room is 20x20 what is a brm?

- 10x12 would be a decent minimum size for a BR. I'd go at least 14x16 for a Master BR. My house was built in the 50's, and I have one that's 8x10. That's a small walk-in closet by today's standards.
- In my house I have rooms that are 12x14 (master), 11x12, and 10x11. My house was also built in the 50s like the other poster. Today they would probably run 11x12 give or take a foot and then 14x16 or larger for a master bedroom. A 20x20 living room is a great size. This is the size of mine and it is perfect. Designing houses is sooo much fun!! Edit: Houses usually have both a living room and a family room where one is more formal and the other one is informal (watching TV). Don't forget about putting in a laundry room and lots of storage space!
