What should I paint my kitchen cabinets?
I have a dark reddish orange kitchen, with alot of brown metal decor....what color should i paint my wooden cabinets? I have a red/orange kitchen, and dark brown metal decor (table, mirrors, sconces ect.) I want to paint my cabinest a light color to contrast the dark walls and brighten it up a little. I have white appliances, but to me the color of them don't really matter when it comes to the cabinet color. Does anyone think that maybe a dark cream or light tan would look good? I am going for the italian bistro style..kinda rustic and modern together.

- check out the color visualizer.
- I would go with white.sounds like you want to lighten it up.......Strike that and go a soft tan.
- There is a paint that cabinet makers use, it has the color of clotted cream, and has low sheen. It is applied by a foam mini-roller . In order to achieve professional results , it is necessary to remove each door from the carcase, and coat them seperately with great precision, its also a good time to up-date the handles. I think the color is buttermilk, or magnolia, and the finish is either eggshell or semi-matt
- you want a color to go with the dark brown, I think a maple color would work
- I think a light tan would be a good choice, especially with white applicances.
