I have burgandy checked curtains and black furniture in my kitchen. What colors for walls and trim?

- brown and silver
- white
- I would go with a glaze in beige. A lil lighter then the picture :)
- I would paint the trim white for contrast and the walls a color in the yellow/gold family. Burgundy and gold go beautifully together and add an air of elegance to the room.
- I'd say dusty rose walls w/ black trim in a semi-gloss
- Black furniture allows you to use ANY color in the room, so choose a color that will go with the Burgundy, and allow you to change that anytime, without changing the walls. The basic colors would be, grey, white, tan. Complimentary colors to the Burgundy could be mauve(pink), or soft moss green-to soften the room. Navy Blue or Dark green-will make the room look smaller, yet can be a great backround if you have interesting items hanging on the walls. If you like the darker colors, yet have a small room, you can use the moss green with one dark accent wall. Have fun!! The Garden Lady
- Recommend a rich olive green or yellow gold/mustard for drama. Introduce some olive greens in plants or pillows or vases. Go to a men's store with ties and see what colors they put with burgundy ties and you will see this is often a combo. Paisley is still a strong pattern to introduce and will not fight with the checked curtains. Good luck.
- Try: 1] off white walls, white trim 2] very pale gray walls, white trim 3] very pale pink walls, white trim Add: accessories [ counter items such as canisters, cookie jar, utensil crock; table cloth, runner, or placemats; table items like S&P shakers, napkin holder ] in burgundy, white and a bit of black. Do add a plant in window if at all possible - flowering one is even better!
- A pale gold would go nicely.
- The color that is not Burgundy in your checked curtains. Dark colors will make your kitchen too dark with already having burgundy checks and black furniture. Good Luck!
- you should play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours: http://sherlink.sherwin.com/swapp/color_visualizer/index.jsp I think a warm color like "mossy gold" (6139) would look very inviting.
