Go Kitchens - What color would look good on a kitchen wall?

What color would look good on a kitchen wall?

The kitchen has white furniture, and white flooring...what color would make the kitchen have a more contemporary look? I was thinking of red...do you think it will work? And does anyone have any pictures of their red kitchen?

I think red would look good,black would be a little cold looking.I think a vibrant colour like red would complement the white,I wouldent do the whole kitchen walls in red as it might look too OTT,you just need it as a statement colour above the worktop etc.
Red would be nice, but I wouldn't go with a bright red, I would go with a deeper red sort of like maybe a maroonish color (but not so browny) Also, a nice forrest green is pretty too...
Red and white is a very comtemporary look. I'd consider whether that color combo flows with the other colors in the house. For me, red is not a very appetizing color though. I'd probably go with a fun shade of green, maybe apple green or olive.
I like yellow in kitchens it makes everything bright and it looks very clean with the white cabinets & appliances. I am sure red will look nice and give off a warm feeling depending on the shade, but it may look a little odd with the white floor.
Red is my favorite color, but keep in mind a few things. 1. Prime the wall with a tinted primer such as pink. 2. Red tends to take several coats. 3. Do not use a gloss paint with red, it will show ALL the imperfections, however when cleaning red tends to mark very easily. Think about selecting a neutral tone such as taupe and find RED accessories and lots of them. Red is a GREAT color, but it is a bit difficult to work with. Be careful on the hue as well some are Orange to red and some are purple to red~make sure what you select is the hue you want it in. I suggest doing a few test areas. Check it out in different lighting. Good Luck :)
if u to red don't make it too vibrant so go with a deeper red or like in my kitchen we did an apple green and some of my fronds did the same
A good contemporary color is aqua.
