What material can I use to glue as black trim on a white kitchen cabinet?

I just repainted my stained kitchen cabinets white (by sanding, priming and painting) and I wish to change the trim to black (we are doing a 50's kitchen.) Any ideas on what material I can use to glue to the cabinets? Thanks.

just use a paintable silicone
May want to try some rubber car trim.
for 50's try Formica...you can buy edging strips or it cuts and snaps off with a Formica razor cutter. Or find a wall paper and cut it to size? Cover it with a good clear sealant so it doesn't damage from high use. When I redid my motor home to '50's I used a brushed aluminum (triangle) "tile" that had a peel off backing. I found it on the Internet.
In that era, formica did not exist, they used floor linoleum which is way heavier than today, it is not user freindly, the start of the white metal cabinets are close. I'm not sure, but Retro is almost anything (was that a double neg.). Before plastic was a material called Bakelite, they made appliances out it. Anyway the best adhesive today is a poly-urathane constuction glue, it comes in chaulking tubes (50 yr. warrenty). Warning if you over due it, nothing will clean off exess glue, it just smears, gorrilla glue is a poly-ureathane it will expand 3 times, PPL makes a tubed version (hope i'm not spaming).
I would visit a home decor store to ask them. It would be ashamed to wreck all the work you done, if what you try does not work. Get some contact adhesive. I like the spray cans best but you'll need to tape off before you spray to keep from getting it on the rest of the cabinet. Hi Strength-90 is the name of what I use I believe and it's made by 3M. Spray on both surfaces-Let dry to tack-put it together. It WON'T come off! You can find it at Lowe's and probably Home Depot. Great stuff!
