What is the rule about cabinet hardware on drawers vs. doors?
I have a really nice custom built hardwood cabinets in my kitchen and want to add hardware to them. I am not sure what to use though. Is there as standard as far as what to use on the drawers and what to use on the cabinet doors? Do I use knobs on both? Do I use knobs on the doors and pulls (handles) on the drawers? or Do I use knobs on the drawers and handles on the doors? I am so confused.

- Personally, I like the uniformity of using handles on all the doors and drawers. Knobs, to me, aren't sturdy enough for all the use they would get in the kitchen.
- There is really no rule. Just do it the way you like. Depends on the style of your cabinetry. If the cabinets are more modern (like IKEA cabinets)and not a lot of trim around them or really ornate, I would go with long handles on both drawers and cabinet doors.
- It depends on the style of your kitchen. Is it modern style, older style, rustic?? For modern style I'd go with slim-line stainless steel handles on doors and draws. For old style/antique style I'd go with aged brass and wood knobs on both doors and draws. I wouldn't mix handles and knobs.
