Painted kitchen cabinets with semi-gloss paint and they are sticky it has been 2 days. Whats wrong?

1. either it's to cold for them to dry or to much humidity in the air........ Good Luck :)
2. It's probably too humid for the paint to dry. If you're using your kitchen (i.e. boiling water on the stove, etc.) you may be increasing the humidity. If you have a dehumidifier that may work for you.
3. The paint still hasn't completely dried or cured. It takes a couple of weeks, depending on the amount of moisture in the air.
4. The basic reason for paint not curing properly is first, if its an oil base...was it mixed (shaken) properly? Also which covers all paint is the air temperature and humidity. If the room is cold or warm and damp you have a poor situation for the paint. I hope its not the first problem with oil for that would need to be removed. Good luck
