What topic on interior accessories interests you the most?
I am schedule to do a community talk regarding interior design the end of Sept. I have decided to talk about the accessories of the home, but have discovered it is a broad topic and I only have 45 min - hour. Some of the outlines I have so far are: Table top accessories: Centerpieces, accent tables, mantles, coffee tables, etc. Drapery, Pillows, Bedding Lighting Kitchens - Cabinet tops, backsplashes Rugs/ Flooring Art/Sculpture Bookcases Entertainment Areas Bathroom Accessories Feel free to throw out your favorites or add what is missing.

- Radon testing, and anything that keeps the temperature comfortable for energy conservation(plants, insulation, arrangement of accessories for that purpose).
- Ty Pennington that is what interests me the most that guy is amazing he can come over anytime
- I like the new premade baseboards and quarter rounds and trims, that you can buy at Home Depot or Lowes. I used some pretty trim to waynescoat my kitchen. This is a great topic. You can use these decorative trims on the edges of counter tops instead of tile or formica. It is inexpensive and very pretty.
- You said Accessorizing and you are throwing out many major components to decor. Accessorizing is more the finishing touches I think. It's the florals and greenery's in a home that fill it in and make it feel clean, it is the candles and lighting that give it ambiance and warmth plus a welcoming scent, the wall art that set the stage in the room, and the signature pieces- the pieces that say this home belongs to "so and so" you know angels for the angel collectors, clocks for the clock collectors. I would focus on the table top accessories because everyone is going to be doing alot of entertaining now that fall is coming and we all dress our tables hopefully as well as we dress ourselves. You could do a whole talk with that alone since it is the season. Especially the entry tables. This area makes a major statement about your home. The accessories should reflect and be warm and inviting. Good luck on your talk.
