How much would you pay for a set of Kitchen Design Drawings ?

I am a kitchen designer, and an interior decorator that is looking to do some work on the side. I have alot of people that ask me , if they can buy my drawings and not get a kitchen through me, but i don't even know where to start for how much to charge them for a set of drawings. i was wondering if i could get someones imput. Added Details - i know you can go to Home depot and get your kitchen designed there. i worked at the Home depot for two years doing that. But in all honesty anyone with real talent never stays at the depot. I mean really creative drawings. Also No one really good will give out the measurements. even when i worked at the depot. i would never give people my plans, i would give them a pretty picture that is it. never the correct measurements.

  1. most places in my area like home depot or lowe's they will sit with you and design it and so long as you buy from them for the most part I don't think they charge you for that part of the service . how ever for the service your looking to provide. if there prints one would submit for permits. there,s two thing you have to consider. is it a total addtition or an exsisting room. if its just a room remodel I would say around 150 to 200. if it's a new addition I woud say as much as 1000 ither case your not just suplying the drawing but your service through out the project
  2. We went to home depot and they do it free you just take your demensions of the room and they put it in the computer and it does the rest.
  3. WOW!!! Sounds like you have some talent goin' on. I'm not sure how involved your drawings are but I would visit some local Home Improvement Stores (Kitchen Dept.) and ask them what they charge. May seem a bit bold but how else are you going to find out. Show them what you have to offer. I'm sure that they would be more than willing to give you some advice. Good Luck!!!
