Need a paint color to take away but blend well with southwest style cabinets in kitchen???

Hello! Need some help... I am moving into a new rental house that has southwest style cabinets (kinda have that pinkish gray look to them) and I hate them, but obviously can't change them cause it is a rental home. So, I am wondering if anyone knows of a good paint color (cause I can paint the walls!) that would take away from the southwestern style look but still blend well with the pinkish gray cabinets??? I really don't have a theme to any of my kitchen decor. Actually I don't have any decor in my kitchen! I am open to all options! THANKS!

  1. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours: http://www.sherwin-williams.com/do_it_yourself/paint_colors/visualizer/ A color from the red family like "rose brocade" (# 0004) would look terrific in the kitchen + blend well with the cabinets that you describe.
