Older ppl. and furniture for the disabled ?
I was just super confused as to why it seems like "mission impossible" for my hubby's family to get his mother (she suffers from severe arthritis) furniture and kitchen equipment that would ease the difficulties she faces everyday. I told him to get a Lazy-boy type recliner that is super comfortable and could help her stand w/ ease when leaving a seated position and he told me his brothers would probably just sit in it. Is it because his family is probably dysfunctional (he admits that and says the majority of other poor egyptians are as well), don't care enough or just don't know? He also said it would be difficult to get that type of furniture (shower stools, disabled recliners, arthritic -friendly kitchen equipment, etc., etc...)It's sad. She just sits on the hard, concrete floor and gets up every morning @4:30 to start her long, day. She doesn't want help around the house either even though my spouse could get her a maid if she'd only accept. furniture store recommendation?

- hi warped long time no see, hope your fine. Well the thing is in Egypt items for disabilities such as Aids and sticks, are so so expensive i was looking for someone a item to help with the back pain....a lot a lot of money.. society is just not equipped to help those that need help. You have been a great wife and a great daughter in law by trying to offer.. but Egyptian men and their mothers...god give me patience...and all the rest of you ladies.......yaaaa i would say even a chair is worth importing because you would save on price and also quality ..so trying doing a parcel and shipping it over. Ever though about getting his mom a tens machine to help her with pain relief? Although things like this they would pay at thier end unless you took it by hand or in a whole shipment one item like a tens machine would cost 50 le in postal tax.. try joining the face book group for wives of Egyptians and someone will give you some advice on this
- If u email me, insha'Allah I will forward it to my wife. She is dr in physical therapy and may be able to help find such things with her contacts....
