2. I always liked reds and Black in a kitchen. The living room is painted too dark.
3. You can upload photos of your rooms at Behr.com and then try different colors. It isn't exact because of the differences in monitors, but it gives you a good idea of what colors will or won't work.

5. Yellows! bright and sunny. put some pendant lights from the ceiling over the island
