Hire someone to paint kitchen cabinets?

I would like to hire someone in the CT area to do a high-quality paint job on my kitchen cabinets, which are oak with some sort of varnish on them. I'd like the cabinets to be off-white, distressed. Anyone know how much it would cost to hire someone to do this?

2. Look in the yellow book or call a nearby painter and ask.
3. I had the same question about 5 years ago, I found that it wasn't worth hiring it done as it is very costly. I ended up painting them myself. The amount of money that I would have had to pay to hire someone, was about the same as just going out and buying new cabinets. Wouldn't hurt to get a few estimates for your own peace of mind though......
