Go Kitchens

Think I had a blind or possibly drunk carpenter install the cabinet hardware in my home. Looking for a way--?

The cabinet hardware in our kitchen is all Horribly installed. It almost appears that whoever installed it tried to eyeball everything but terribly so. I took a tape measure and a few drawer pulls are almost 3/4 of an inch lower than the one next to it. It was like this when we bought the house a few years ago but now I need to do something about it because it is driving me crazy. Cabinets are oak...hardware is a brushed nickle. In my mind a perfect solution would be some decorative brushed nickle washers under each leg of the pulls. Maybe and inch in diameter. Searched the web but came up empty. I`m kind of at my wits end. Anyone out there know where I could find such a beast or even better! Anyone have a better idea?!?

  1. I would get new pulls all together - as large as you can to 'cover' the former mistakes.. but I would pay a professional to come install them -- it would be under $100 for the labor (my guess, it cost me $2.00 a handle when mine were installed) and well worth it!
  2. HELLO TAKE THEM OFF AND FILL THE HOLES THAT ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE WITH ROUND WOODEN DOWEL OR A MIXTURE OF SAWDUST AND GLUE THE SAME COLOUR AND TRIM BACK NEARLY FLUSH THEN CAREFULLY SAND AND A DAB OF VARNISH IF VARNISHED OR NAIL VARNISH THE SAME COLOUR IF LAMINATED
