Does anyone have suggestions on buying kitchen accessories without going online?

I have recently started cooking and baking again and am in dire need of some new utensils, gadgets, etc. Since I buy these "as needed", I would prefer to shop at a store and see what I want without going online and paying ridiculous shipping charges. My current finds have been Bed, Bath and Beyond, Cost Plus, and Pier One. Have also tried the Target and Cosco type stores. Usually don't have what I want. Any new ideas or secret finds?

  1. i would suggest a speciality equipment store that caters to restuarants and caterers, may need to look in the phone book , it worth a shot, i've actually found that some on-line buying is cheaper then going to a local place, some places are offering free shipping ,kinda hard to not pass that by.
  2. Have you tried Williams Sonoma or TJ Maxx?
  3. Tuesday Morning and thrift stores. What specifically are you looking for? Bed Bath and Beyond seems to have most of the basics.
  4. Decide what you want and go to the Dollar Store, Big Lots, etc. and find things that are Perfect. You don't have to break your budget to make a nice home the way you want to make it.....Cheers.
  5. I don't know where you are located but if I have a store called Gadgets and Goodies, or try the yellowpages and search for cooking stores. Also there is always William Sonoma although that can get pricey. Also might try the bigger department stores like Macy's although they do more dishes then utensils. Fred Meyer tends to have utensils and they are usually on sale. There is also a kitchen store that I usually see in outlet stores, I can't remember the name of it but if you have an outlet mall you can try there. Hope I helped.
