how to seal kitchen cabinet paint?

We moved into a brand new home and within a month, the kitchen cabinet paint seems to dull in certain areas. I am wondering if there is a product that would effectively seal the cabinet paint surface and also last a long time without affecting the life of the cabinets itself. Any ideas?

  1. I would use some poly urethane and brush it on, they will look brand new, you can use it on the counter tops as long as they are not stone. Just make sure they dry well before you use them.
  2. The best way to seal your cabinets is to use a sanding sealer after lightly using sandpaper <fine grit> 120 or higher. After sanding use the sanding sealer then use several coats of interior high gloss sealer. It will be easy to clean up and last a long time. Do NOT use this on your counter-tops!!! Only for wood use These products are not supposed to come in contact with food!
